Review: All-New X-Men #28

Stuart Immonen is kicking ass and taking names. Maybe not true on the latter but the former is definitely correct. Just look at this panel. I could have put up the big X-Men on X-Men fight he drew up but this one expresses what I enjoy every issue.

Now to the story, I’m not sure where the story is going with the Future Brotherhood. Are they just going to keep coming back? That will run the title first into circles, and then into the ground and off the shelves. Here’s to seeing how everything turns out. I will say that the departure of Cyclops hasn’t really had to be dealt with by the team since everyone hates Jean Grey. I liked the addition of X-23 to the team. It’s like having Wolverine but without the whole “I’ve been everywhere, man” baggage that comes with him.

Time Travel Side note: I wonder what will happen to these titles if the original X-Men go back to 1963. The Cyclops title could end, unless he seeks out the younger Corsair. That would be an interesting twist to their dynamic since present day Corsair has already dealt with reuniting with Scott once before, unlike the younger Corsair.  Would he even be willing to try? Who knows?

As for the team, they’d be going through their “learning” with Charles with knowledge of what is going to happen to them. Would it make them even want to embark on this path they have recently chosen? Jean’s been freaked out. Scott’s been freaked out? Bobby’s been freaked out? I’m not sure about Angel or Hank. What do you think they would do?
